Bella has recently fallen in love with the Wizard of Oz, so when we asked her what she wanted to be for halloween, we thought for sure it would be Dorothy. Nope. Wicked Witch of the West all day. It was probably the green face that sold her on it. At any rate we were happy to ablige as we’ve already got our own “Toto” dog to compliment the outfit. Bella spent the evening trick or treating around our house and got a great big bag full of candy to show for it. While our immediate neighbors are pretty lame with blacked out non-holiday homes, the houses just down the street made up for it. There were lots of families and kids out and overall it was a really fun night!

Bella is writing her name now. She is really good with drawing and shapes. She has a little trouble with the other of the letters but after a little practice she got it down. What makes me most proud is her willingness to practice, try hard and work through the process until it’s done right. That’s my little smart bear. Bella is about 3.5 year’s old
Now I am the Master and she is but the learner. Bella watched Return of the Jedi for the first time this weekend. She’s seen some Star Wars before but only bits and pieces and not since she’s been old enough to really follow who’s good who’s bad and what the hell is going on. I started with Return for one reason and one reason only. Ewoks. If you’re going to hook a 3.5 year old little girl you use cute. She calls them “Super Bears” because they are like mega stuffies that walk and talk. I’d say by the end of the week we should be able to cover the original trilogy. Then I’ll decide how to proceed with the other movies. I wish I could show her that Topher Grace edit that I hear is truly epic…
